Quikr Expands Its Ecosystem, Launches Quikr Dvlpr
First of Its Kind Developer API Platform in Internet Classifieds

Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Quikr, India’s No. 1 cross category classifieds business, announced that it is further expanding its ecosystem by launching Quikr Dvlpr. As a part of this initiative, Quikr is making its Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) available publicly. This will allow developers in India’s fast expanding internet ecosystem to build innovative apps by tapping into Quikr’s enormous transaction flow. Developers can register for the program for free at www.quikr.com/dvlpr.

The Quikr Dvlpr platform has been designed to offer many parts of Quikr’s core functionality to developers, giving them the opportunity to access Quikr’s buyer/seller flow, listings by categories and/or cities as well as replies to these listings. Developers will also be able to leverage Quikr’s messaging and deep search capabilities, and get support and analytics from Quikr. The platform has been built upon a fully secure protocol that will ensure complete user privacy while allowing developers easy access to the platform’s transaction flow through their Quikr Dvlpr account. Overall, the program will allow external developers to offer innovative and locally relevant services, information or products to Quikr’s end users, thereby tapping into the large number of opportunities that Quikr’s large platform offers.

Commenting on the launch of Quikr Dvlpr, Pranay Chulet, Founder & CEO of Quikr said,“ At Quikr, our mission is to consistently innovate for our users and stay super engaged with them. While we are verticalizing our own business in the largest markets such as Cars, Jobs, Real Estate and Services, this move provides us another very scalable way to continue to innovate for India. We have built our large platform on the foundation of robust technology, and firmly believe that we can further unlock the potential of our platform by partnering with India’s developers.”

Quikr has consistently evolved its platform based on unique insights about the Indian consumers and launched several other innovations in the past including QuikrNXT, Maximum Selling Price (MSP) and Missed Calls. This latest move by the company will help it tap into the innovativeness and entrepreneurial spirit of external teams that are interested in developing specialized solutions for specific parts of its large marketplace.
