Applications will close on May 17th

Bangalore, Karnataka, India

INK, a community that transforms imagination to impact, is inviting applications for its prestigious INK Fellows Program 2015. INKFellows Program is a platform for discovery and exposure that equips young change-makers with the mentorship, support, networks and specially designed opportunities necessary to help take their brilliant work to the next level.

The initiative aims to recognize young path-breakers from diverse fields such as art, science, technology, entrepreneurship, social impact, music and architecture to name a few and gives them a stage that generates positive impact in their field of work or community

“Through this program we aim to build a community of young change-makers who are on a journey to transform their imaginative ideas into global impact. We want to enable young people, particularly from emerging economies like India, who have the courage to follow through on their vision by inspiring them with real examples of peers who break new grounds with their creative thinking and immense potential" - said Lakshmi Pratury, Host and Curator of the INK Conference.

Supported by notable institutions including the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, The INK Fellows Program applications are open to individuals aged between 18 and 40 years, from any country and field of work. Applications can be filed by answering an online questionnaire available on the website http://inktalks.com/fellows/applyor by uploading a 3-minute video on YouTube and including it in the application form. Shortlisted candidates who make it to the second stage will be called upon to provide additional information in support of their application, and for an interview. Applications to the initial stage will close in the second week of May.

Each year, the INK Fellows Program identifies a multi-disciplinary group of 20 young achievers from across the world who have demonstrated their ability to be path-breakers in their respective fields. The hand-picked INK Fellows are given a platform to showcase their work and ideas to a global audience through INK’s flagship annual event, the INK Conference. The Program also facilitates access to potential customers, funding, mentorship and opportunities for further exposure, besides providing an enriching community of peers for collaboration and support.

Now entering its sixth year, the Program includes past Fellows Arunima Sinha, the world’s first female amputee to conquer/summit Mt. Everest; Neeraj Kakkar, Co-founder and CEO of Hector Beverages – the makers of PaperBoat and Tzinga; Sanvar Oberoi, who is re-instating the super crop Cannabis sativa (Industrial hemp) with the Bombay Hemp Company; Krithi K. Karanth; a National Geographic Emerging Explorer who has been studying wildlife conservation in India for 16 years and Vicky Roy, a ragpickerturned photographer who was one of the few in the world selected to document the reconstruction of the World Trade Centre.

“The INK Fellowship has been an absolute gamechanger for us…imagine putting some of the world's best disruptors and freethinkers in a room for three days to see what comes out of it. It's a close-knit family, unlike any other, of outliers who accept and hone one's uniqueness and quirks. At a time when society is increasingly restrictive of independent thought and action, INK Fellowship is the ultimate validation for one's bold ideas", saidINK Fellow 2013 – Sanvar Oberoi, Director of Finance and Digital Technology at BOHECO (Bombay Hemp Company)

“The highlights for me were spending time with some incredible people having a diverse range of interests. Hearing those stories was a humbling experience like none before. This is easily one of the best organized thing happening in India at this moment and a not to be missed life experience. Very happy to have got the chance and very proud to be an INK Fellow”, said INK Fellow 2014 - Neeraj Kakkar, CEO Hector Beverages
