Ahmedabad’s finest business hotel Radisson BLU has initiated to contribute to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a campaign initiated by the government of India working towards the national vision of a "Clean India" by 2019. As a responsible corporate and with an objective of developing sustainable communities in the city, Radisson BLU intend to plan a series of activities to support the nationwide campaign.
Under this activity, Radisson BLU has formed four teams consisting of 15 members in each team. All these teams have adopted surroundings of the property and have taken the responsibility to keep the surrounding clean. “Though our staff is busy throughout the day, we make a conscious decision to find out sufficient time to take the message forward not by words but by our actions,” Alex Koshy, General Manager, Radisson BLU said.
Radisson BLU started the campaign from Parimal Garden where the team got tremendous response from the joggers and passersby. Till date, Radisson BLU’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign has resulted in efforts to clean up Parimal Garden, Law garden, Panchvati Cross road and other surrounding areas. Each team has dedicated time to clean the public places on any of the week days.
Mr. Koshy stated, “We want sustained efforts to take the mission in the right spirits and that is why after beginning the campaign in October last year, we have continued the drive. Now the shop owners and vendors in those areas where we have been working know us and give us a great support and for us that is the success of the initiative. As a responsible corporate and citizen it is our duty to keep our area clean and hygienic. We intend to continue this initiative so that other citizens are also motivated.”
