Dream A Dream, a 15-year old NGO focused on developing Life Skills amongst the most vulnerable populations of young people in India, is hosting an International conference titled Change The Script on February 13-14, 2015 in Bangalore. The conference will bring together over 15 eminent speakers from across the world and over 150 participants from across India. Young people, teachers, educators, NGO leaders, academicians and researchers will come together to learn, share, deepen understanding and co-create solutions for transforming and preparing young people for the 21st century.
Vishal Talreja, Cofounder & CEO, Dream A Dream said: “The frantic pace at which the world today is changing requires very different skills to survive, live and succeed. Hence it is critical for us to invest in our young people and Change The Script conference aims to build a larger eco-system of stakeholders co-creating solutions for young people.”
Some of the topics to be covered during the two day conference vary from Employability skills, the urgency of life skills, Societal challenges due to lack of life skills, how adversity damages child development etc.
Eminent speakers at the conference include Peggy Taylor, Co-founder of Partners for Youth Empowerment, Dr. Deepa Narayan - An independent international poverty consultant, formerly with the World Bank and UN, Puja Marwaha, CEO, Child Rights and You, Arlene Manoharan, Progrmmae Head at Center for Child and the Law, Dr. David Pearson - Consultant Clinical Psychologist, former NHS Head of Psychology and Honorary Tutor at the University of Southampton, Padmavathi, Rao, Theatre artist
