Orion Edutech, India's leading skill development company, today announced their acquisition of 67% stake in Chennai based, Brain Valley Software Pvt. Ltd., an innovative independent assessment solution for corporates & education institutes. This partnership will equip Orion Edutech with Brain Valley’s scalable cloud-based solution, Quizky, for conducting error-free high-stake tests, addressing the Indian $3.4 billion vocational/ corporate training market which is growing at15% annually.
Funded by Ventureast, Orion Edutech, a leading skill development company, established in 2007, provides training to more than 1.4 million job aspirants, in addition to placing more than 1 lakh candidates in over350 companies from 150+ training centres spread across 19 states in India. The company has implemented technology in its delivery mechanism to maintain quality across centres and is planning to invest extensively in technology.
By virtue of acquiring a majority stake Orion will now own the IP of Brain Valley’s flagship assessment solution Quizky. This strategic investment will augment Orion Edutech with its powerful, feature-rich cloud based simulated test interface, providing a detailed analysis, automating and streamlining tests. Quizky enables users to author content, analyse the performance of students and deliver seamless tests Online and Offline, most importantly supports multiple branches and divisions facilitating effective test administration. Ideal for schools, coaching centres and organizations with multiple zones, branches and divisions, this solution quickly and efficiently administers tests for students, employees and candidates, constantly tracking improvement areas for students.
Brain Valley was founded in 2011 providing more than 1.5 Million assessments for an array of competitive exams. Brain Valley’s existing customers include leading Corporates, National competitive test prep institutes and coaching centres like Kotak, Baijus, IMS, Mahesh Tutorial etc.
