Source : Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust Friday, January 9, 2015 1:58PM IST (8:28AM GMT)   Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Pledges Full Support to the Bhendi Bazaar Redevelopment Project   Mumbai, Maharashtra, India On the eve of the first Urs Mubarak (death anniversary) of the 52nd Dai Al-Mutlaq Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, spoke about the Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust’s (SBUT) Bhendi Bazaar redevelopment project and applauded the Dawoodi Bohra Community’s keenness to establish the first smart city model in Mumbai by way of an urban renewal project.  Chief Minister assured that his government will give full support and help clear all hurdles so that the redevelopment project is completed on time.  The Chief Minister also praised the social upliftment initiatives undertaken by 53rd Dai Al-Mutlaq, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin (TUS) and applauded how the Dawoodi Bohra community has contributed towards the State's and the Nation’s growth and development under the Syedna’s leadership. The SBUT project is Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin’s most ambitious philanthropic enterprise.  It aims to rehabilitate 3200 families and 1250 business which are currently living in poor conditions. The project will create a modern urban area that will not only set a precedent to urban renewal projects in Mumbai; but also provide impetus for other urban renewal projects in India, and throughout the world.
