Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Technology College won the qualifying round of The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz today at Centre for Environmental Planning & Technology University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The team of Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information & Technology comprising of Aniruddha, Kunal & Harsh did their college proud by winning this round. Mr. Jan Cambell-Westlind, Consul, Consulate General of Sweden in Mumbai handed out the prizes at this intercollegiate quiz competition which saw keen quizzers from across reputed colleges and technical institutes of the city. Quiz Master Kunal Savarkar hosted the regional round where the participation was open to all college teams.
Winners of the Kolkata round will represent the city at the National Finals which will be held at The Hindu College, University of Delhi in New Delhi on November 01, 2014.
Apart from Kolkata, the Quiz will also be held in Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Indore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi.
National winners will get an all-expenses paid trip to Sweden where they will visit headquarters of global Swedish companies, Swedish Universities and the Nobel Museum among other things.
Partnering Swedish companies for this year’s Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week are ABB, Atlas Copco, Ericsson, IKEA, SAAB, Sandvik, Scania, SEB, SKF, Tetrapak, Volvo Cars and Volvo India.

The Week is instituted in memory of Swedish innovator, entrepreneur & philanthropist Alfred Nobel and celebrates the Indian Nobel Laureates as well.
The Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week 2014 is the eighth edition of the week, which will take place across ten cities Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune from October 26 to November 1, 2014.
