The Nineteenth Convocation Ceremony of IILM Graduate School of Management, Greater Noida was held on 24th of September 2014 at IILM, Lodhi Road Campus. Rev. Dr. Valson Thampu, Principal of St. Stephen’s College was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

In the graduating ceremony, 105 students of the PGDM class of 2014 from IILM-Graduate School of Management and 48 students of the PGDM class of 2014 from IILM-College of Management Studies were conferred diplomas.
                
IILM Graduate School of Management Director, Dr. Taruna Gautam, welcomed the chief Guest Rev. Dr. Valson Thampu. Reverend Thampu is an ordained minister of the Church of North India, Diocese of Delhi. He is a member of the National Integration Council, the National Steering Committee for Curriculum Review, NCERT, the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and the Delhi Minorities Commission. Rev. Thampu is also the Chairman of the National Focus Group on Peace Education. A PhD in Theology, Rev. Thampu has authored and co-authored 14 books, and 120 booklets on diverse subjects. He has also written over 400 articles for newspapers and magazines. 

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Taruna Gautam, spoke of the recent achievements of the Institute, namely IILM’s selection as a PRME champion business school, its inclusion in the 10 member advisory group to the PRME secretariat; launching of IGNITE, a 30,000 sq ft incubation center at IILM’s Gurgaon Campus. She also highlighted IILM’s partnership with IBM for offering Programs in Analytics, Big Data, Social- Media and Mobility domains and partnership with Dortmund University of Applied Science and Arts, Germany and the University of Babes Romania for the Masters in International Business - Managing Diverse Markets Programme.
                                                                    
IILM Chairperson Mrs. Malvika Rai conferred the Dr. Kulwant Rai Gold and Silver Medals to top students of the graduating batch.

Rev. Dr. Valson Thampu, congratulated the students of 2014 batch and conveyed his best wishes to them. He stressed upon the importance of leading a joyous life and how important it is to substitute pleasure with joy which acts as an oxygen for stressful life. The very core of life he said is in accepting and liking the people and surroundings the way they are so as to have a blissful life.  He also elaborated on "symbolic and materialistic" culture. The people today are only focusing on having more and more things and have forgotten who they are. He gave an example of cell phone, as to how it is acting as a hindrance for effective communication and developing as a monstrous communication. He also discussed the importance of “human patience” and emphasized that it should be a core part of an individual's life. Rev. Thampu congratulated the graduating batch for their success and blessed them for a successful life ahead.
