Tata Capital and The Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA) have come together to launch this year’s edition of ‘Tata Capital Super Shuttlers’ in Bangalore. Having seen a successful inaugural edition in Mumbai in 2013, the badminton talent hunt for kids moves to Bangalore this year. The trophy of this year’s edition of the tournament was unveiled by Mr. Govind Sankaranarayanan, Member – Management Committee, Tata Capital Limited and Mr. Prakash Padukone, Director, Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy.
Like the last year, ‘Tata Capital Super Shuttlers’ will begin with badminton camps, that will be held between July 12th and August 10th at premier sports clubs across Bangalore. After the 2-day camps, the best players will get to be a part of a tournament which will be held over a period of two days, in the last week of August, at the Karnataka Badminton Academy. The winners of the tournament will win the Tata Capital Super Shuttlers trophy and a chance to train with the expert coaches PPBA.

Mr. Prakash Padukone, Director, Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, said, “Last year, the ‘Tata Capital Super Shuttlers’ provided a much needed boost to promote badminton in young kids. With the latest edition, we hope yet again to create an opportunity for young kids to take benefit of through these training camps and understand the finer qualities of badminton. We, at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, in association with Tata Capital are proud to be a part of a sports legacy for India” Tata Capital Super Shuttlers is an annual event held to encourage fresh talent in badminton amongst kids aged 8 – 15 years. The camps and the tournament conducted by Tata Capital and PPBA are aimed at encouraging budding talent and provide them with a fun and interactive environment to hone their badminton skills.
