India’s #1 online photography service Canvera today announced the hiring of Sumant Kumar as VP Sales & Marketing. Sumant comes to Canvera with 18+ years of experience in Sales & Marketing with his last stint as Business Unit Manager for Commercial Graphics at 3M India where he spent close to 10+ years in a number of different roles and grew rapidly through the ranks. Sumant won numerous awards for his leadership at 3M including winning the Top Flite awards five years in a row and the Best National Sales Manager award. “We have grown our sales & marketing organization to more than 425 people in the last 1.5 years and we are excited to bring on Sumant to lead the charge for the next phase of growth for the company,” says Dhiraj Kacker, CEO & Co-Founder of Canvera. “Sumant brings to the table incredible experience on both strategic and hands-on tactical issue that face large and distributed sales & marketing teams and his experience will be invaluable to the company.” Talking about joining Canvera Sumant said, “Canvera has established itself as the #1 player in this space and I am extremely excited to help take the company to the next level of scale.” Sumant will be based out of the company’s headquarters in Bangalore.
