To support its growth plans in India, International SOS is proud to announce a strategic partnership with AMAS Medical Services Pvt. Ltd in India.
International SOS has invested in a minority stake in the AMAS business, which is based in Mumbai.
AMAS is committed to being a leader in medical management solutions in India, offering medical services to oil & gas, aviation, maritime and diving sectors. It employs 28 staff. Dr Anil Mehra, the CEO and founder of AMAS is a prominent member of the Indian medical community and a well respected entrepreneur in India.
International SOS has been at the forefront of medical and security assistance in India since 1998 when the first office was established in New Delhi. It has helped to shape the healthcare landscape in India, offering its members international-standard medical care and assistance as well as security services.
By joining forces, the companies are aligning their service portfolios to the benefit of their Indian and Global members with Indian operations. Specifically, the synergies exist in the oil & gas sector, as well as the aviation industry via International SOS’ subsidiary MedAire. The partnership will allow us to co-ordinate and better align services to our clients.
Whilst the companies will continue to be operated independently, they will be combining their service offering in this market to provide clients with a broader choice of services. Dr Anil Mehra will also become Chairman of the International SOS India Medical Advisory Board, and a member of the International Medical Advisory Board, which comprises prominent medical members from International SOS on a regional and worldwide basis
