UST Global, an information technology solutions and services company for Global 1000 enterprises, announced partnering with SARSAS (Save A Rupee Spread A Smile), a charitable organization, to contribute for TrivandRUN, its annual awareness and fund raising marathon in aid of cancer patients .
The proceeds from TrivandRUN, which was held today, will go towards facilitating treatment of financially-challenged patients visiting the city-based Regional Cancer Centre (RCC).
More than 1800+ employees from corporate houses, their family members and friends took part in various categories of the marathon including a 10-km corporate relay, 10-km ‘Endurance Run’, and a 2-km ‘Fun Run’. This was followed by a concert by the famous Asima band and an award ceremony which was presided by Dr. Paul Sebastian, Director, RCC Trivandrum, MLA K.Muraleedaran, Mayor Chandrika, and celebrity actors Suresh Gopi and Manikkuttan.
A team of 100 employees from UST Global also participated in the run to support the cause.

The winner of the Endurance Run was Sapthendro Kumar Pattel from the Indian Air Force, who completed the run in a record timing of 26 minutes and 40 seconds. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 7500 by MLA K Muraleedaran. The second prize of Rs. 5000 was awarded to R.S Bind from the Indian Air Force by Mayor Chandrika.
The corporate relay was won by MRA Bakers, while Suntec and Ambrosia were the second and third runners up. The prizes were handed over to them by Suresh Gopi.
A surprise gift by Qatar Airways was awarded to the youngest participant of TrivandRUN — five-year old Master Nathaniel.
