According to Boston Consulting Group, India is "on the threshold of a digital revolution" with the number of Internet users in India expected to nearly triple from 125 million in 2011 to 330 million by 2016. Boston Consulting Group analyzed the online buying experience stating that 21% of India's online buyers purchased air travel and the next highest online purchases were for PCs, mobile devices, and other electronics. India's online consumers also use the internet for research on cars and large appliances according to Boston Consulting Group. The Google India study found that 34% of online shoppers in India searched for consumer electronics and 30% for apparel and accessories.
