CA Technologies India Employees Join Together to Support Worldwide Volunteer Month


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, October 03, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced the kickoff of CA Together in Action, its annual community relations program promoting volunteerism to its employees across the globe.

For the seventh year in a row, employees worldwide will join together during the month of October to support a wide range of non-profit projects, from blood donation to mentoring underprivileged children to clothes donation to conducting sports fest in government schools. Also the Green Team of CA Technologies is working towards educating the citizens about the benefits of rain water harvesting and reducing the usage of paper mailers by shifting to e-bills for phone and bank statements in an effort to contribute towards a green environment.

Since its inception in 2005, CA Together in Action has provided employees with the opportunity to take time off from their business day to volunteer in a variety of activities that benefit their local communities. CA Technologies employees are given up to three paid working days each year to volunteer with charitable organizations of their choice.

Last year, CA Technologies employees set a program record with over 1,700 volunteers participating in more than 130 community projects around the world. This represents over 30,000 volunteer hours given to help local organizations.

This year, CA Technologies anticipates an even higher level of involvement across the globe. Some of the organizations CA Together in Action supports in India include: Goonj, Aarohi Blood Bank and HOPE School.
