Mirah Hospitality to Introduce Ping Pong to India
Mumbai-based Mirah Hospitality delivers yet another F&B brand to the nation; London's famous dim sum chain - Ping Pong, prepares for its Indian debut

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, August 20, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- Ping Pong, the twenty-first century teahouse and uber-cool dim sum emporium, is set to get India's foodies hot and steamy when it opens this December in BKC, Bandra, Mumbai.

The new eatery will indulge dim sum fans with its celebrated 'little parcels of deliciousness' and tea lovers will blossom given sight of the vast array of Ping Pong flowering teas

Mirah Hospitality, India's leading hospitality company is all set to add one more exciting brand to its portfolio, indeed one of London's most popular dim sum restaurant brands - Ping Pong. The uber cool dim sum emporium Ping Pong, established in 2005 currently operates 13 restaurants across the globe in London, Sao Paulo, Dubai and Washington DC.

For over seven years Ping-Pong has built-up an enviable reputation serving the little parcels of deliciousness, as an individual treat. The menu primarily consists of great cocktails, classic dim sums, luxurious teas, fast service and a trendy environment - a place to kick back for the cool, after-work crowd.

Gaurav Goenka, Managing Director, Mirah Hospitality commented, "Ping Pong is a contemporary and dynamic brand that is well known among Indians who frequently travel to London and Dubai. Considering dim sum is a very popular and traditional Asian dish it surprised us that it was not readily available in India. Doing what it does best, Mirah spotted the market potential and decided to bring the irresistible charm of Ping Pong's dim sum to India's financial centre."

Following the style of the company's Great Marlborough Street flagship restaurant, diners can expect a clean, open-plan look with spacious dining areas. Large round wooden tables and benches, crafted from old oak taken from sustainable forests in Switzerland, embody Ping Pong's values of community, authenticity and respect for the environment.

Daniel During, managing partner of Ping Pong said, "After our initial expansion into the Americas, Europe and the Middle East, the Asian market was obviously the next step in Ping Pong's growth. Mirah hospitality understands and has expertise of the Indian food and beverage sector, as well as a great passion for successful brands, making Mirah an obvious partner for Ping Pong."

Diners will be able choose from an extensive menu containing over 50 dim sum dishes which includes a series of set menus with baked, steamed and fried items.and a dessert.

Vegetarians will have a range of dishes to choose from which include a 'healthy fix' set menu for the health-conscious diner which is only 487 calories - less than a quarter of a diner's daily allowance and a fifth of our recommended daily saturated fat intake.

Ping Pong's innovative menus are prepared by highly-trained chefs, made with the freshest ingredients and served with style.

The menu also features a large collection of Chinese teas ranging from China's famous green tea through to flowering jasmine and lilly, or a spicy pineapple tea.
