Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, July 23, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- Allcargo Logistics Ltd today announced the appointment of four key professionals for strategic functions in the company. These include Mr. Clement Michael Fernandes as Director Human Resources for the Group, Mr. Ajay Rao as President Strategy and Business Development, Ms. Sangeeta Sundaram as Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications and Ms. Savli Mangle as Vice President, Investor Relations.

As Director- Human Resources (Group), Michael is responsible for all Human Resources and Administrative initiatives, Processes and Systems for the Group including all subsidiary companies and Joint Venture operations. He will report to the Chairman Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty and to the Board.

Michael has over three decades of experience in Indian and multinational automobile, engineering and infrastructure development companies leading the Human Resources function. He started his career with Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, a large diversified business group, and was associated with them for over 16 years. Michael was Vice President at Blue Star Limited, and prior to that as Vice President at ITD Cementation India Ltd (formerly known as Skanska Cementation India Limited - part of Skanska AB, Sweden) and with Ingersoll- Rand India Ltd. In his most recent assignment before Allcargo Logistics, Michael was working as Vice President Human Resources with Dresser- Rand India Private Limited, India subsidiary of US based multinational. Michael is a Commerce Graduate and has done Bachelors of Law and Masters in Labour Studies from Mumbai University. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

As President- Business Development, Ajay would be responsible for growing the warehousing business globally for Allcargo and a specific focus of growing the 3PL business in India. He is also responsible for expanding Allcargo's footprint globally across other lines of business, he reports to the Chairman Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty and to the Board.

Prior to joining Allcargo Ajay was with Writer Corporation for 9 years where he was initially CEO for their ATM and Cash management business and was then the CEO for their flagship Relocation business which has 19 offices across 8 countries. Prior to his stint with Writer Corporation, Ajay was based in the US and worked for 4 years with American Management Systems a US based management consulting company as a principal within their risk management business for the banking and telecom vertical. Ajay has done his Bachelors in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.

As Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Sangeeta Sundaram is responsible for building a strong visibility for the organization and a cohesive marketing strategy. She will be part of the CMO office and report to Executive Director, Mr. Adarsh Hegde.

Sangeeta has over 15 years of experience across various aspects of Marketing. Prior to joining Allcargo, she was the Marketing and Communications Leader at Capgemini, for all their India operations. Working there for 8 years, she was largely responsible for helping build their brand image in India. She has also worked with Gallup Organization and ORG- MARG (now part of AC Nielsen) in the past. She has an MBA from Goa Institute of Management.

As Vice President, Investor Relations and Finance - Projects, Savli Mangle is responsible for building strong equity among the investor base and also manage the finance function for the Project Logistics business. She reports to Mr. Suryanarayanan, Director Finance.

Savli has over 15 years of experience across Investor Relations, Corporate communications and Retail. Prior to joining Allcargo she was with Reliance Capital as VP Investor Relations for 5 years. And she has worked with Suzlon and GTL in the past. She has an MBA from Jamna Lal Bajaj.
