Elfab's New Milli-Gard Rupture Disc Offers Industry's Lowest Burst Pressure

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- Pressure management specialist Elfab (www.elfab.com) has launched a new ultra low-pressure reverse-acting rupture disc. Milli-Gard is the latest addition to Elfab's technically advanced range of pressure relief products, offering the industry's lowest burst pressure capability.

The new disc has been designed to meet a broad range of non-standard specifications, and provides protection from as low as three mbarg. Its reverse-acting, composite design makes Milli-Gard especially suitable for applications where the relief of vacuum or potential over-pressurisation is required.

Milli-Gard comes with Elfab's non-invasive detection system Flo-TelT+ as standard, to supply instantaneous indication of rupture disc functioning. Flo-TelT+ has recently been upgraded from an IP65 rating to IP66, and can offer temperature monitoring when used in conjunction with the Radio-TelT wireless transmission system.

Milli-Gard is compatible with Elfab's multi-flanged reverse-acting holders for greater flexibility. This allows disc types to be changed in a process without the need to purchase additional holders. Milli-Gard delivers maximised free-flow to give optimum relief for very low-pressure applications.
