Unichem Total Income grows over 12%


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, January 23, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Board of Directors of Unichem Laboratories Ltd at their meeting held on January 21, 2012 approved the Third Quarter [Q3] Unaudited Results for FY 2011-12.

The Company recorded a total income of Rs. 222.63 Crore for the quarter ended 31st December, 2011, registering a growth of 12.95% over the corresponding quarter of previous year, driven by revenues outside India which increased by 81.65%. The Company recorded a Profit before interest, depreciation, tax & exceptional items of Rs. 38.96 Crore.

Profit before tax for the current quarter stood at Rs. 31.80 Crore as compared to Rs. 33.64 Crore during corresponding quarter of the previous year. However, compared to the sequential quarter, Profit before tax is higher by 22%. Profit after tax for the current quarter stood at Rs. 24.47 Crore as compared to Rs. 25.61 Crore. However, compared to the sequential quarter, Profit after tax is higher by 27.8%.
