Birlasoft Announces Shan Bala as CEO


New Delhi, Delhi, India, Thursday, November 10, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Birlasoft, the global IT services arm of the C K Birla Group announces the appointment of Shan Bala as the Chief Executive Officer. Shan was heading Global Sales and Marketing for Birlasoft prior to this appointment.

Shan has held many senior leadership positions in the past including with Satyam Computer Services (later known as Mahindra Satyam). At Satyam, Shan was the Global Head of a group of verticals in the Retail & CPG, Travel, Logistics & Distribution space. In his career spanning over two decades, primarily in the IT Industry, Shan has worked with global businesses across multiple verticals in developed economies and also established successful inroads in emerging markets.
