Shell Advance Announces the Winner of 'The Seven Riding Wonder of the World' Promotion
Lucky winners get to witness the MotoGP Malaysia 2011

New Delhi, Delhi, India, Thursday, September 22, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Shell Advance, the globally leading motorcycle lubricants brand and Ducati's technical partner, has announced the winners for 'The Seven Riding Wonders of the World' promotion who will get an opportunity to attend the 2011 Shell Advance Malaysian MotoGP slated this October for free. The winners are D.Devraj of Bangalore, Rajinder Kakkar of Delhi, and Dinesh Choudhary of Hyderabad, Jagdish Sasodia of Indore, Vinod Kumar of Hoshiarpur and Jai Prakash soni of Yavatmal. These winners participated in the Shell Advance "Scratch & Win" contest wherein they purchased Shell Advance AX5 or AX7 and won this award as the mega prize.

Shell Advance has successfully executed this global promotion by inviting motorcycle enthusiasts to vote for their favourite riding wonder - road, track or riding experience. The Coorg- Ooty- Munnar route in India was one of the 7 riding wonders of the world and voting was done through SMS and online poll. This promotion was further extended in India by involving consumers through a Scratch & Win contest in select cities that offered chance for a few lucky winners to witness the upcoming Malaysian MotoGP 2011 in person. This promotion brings together Shell Advance's long-standing technical partnership with Ducati Corse and recently signed title sponsorship of the Malaysian Moto GP 2011. The promotion met a record-breaking success in India.

This initiative will provide Shell Advance customers with a splendid opportunity to witness how Shell Advance's technical partnership with Ducati comes to life on the track. These winners will also attend the Seven Riding Wonders event and will be taken for a Moto GP track tour prior to the race.

Shell has a real heritage in motorcycle racing. The '7 Riding Wonders of the World' promotion is only possible through the close technical relationship that Shell Advance and Ducati share. The 2011 season sees the Shell- powered Ducati ridden by two former world champions, Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden.

Notes to Editors

-- "Shell Lubricants" refers to the various Shell companies engaged in the lubricants business

-- Shell Advance Racing Oil is the only lubricant used by the Ducati MotoGP team for their engine and gearbox. The commercially available Shell Advance Ultra has almost the same performance package as this oil, which means that the consumer has access to virtually the same technology as the Ducati MotoGP team

-- Shell Advance motorcycle oil helps to clean and protect your engine, increasing its responsiveness and helps keep your motorcycle performing at its best for longer

-- As part of the development process, Shell Advance motor oils are tested in the harshest of environments across different continents with different climates. This means that Shell Advance motor oils are uniquely suited to help optimise power output under different temperatures and humidities

-- The majority of components used in the Shell Advance racing oil for Ducati in MotoGP are also used in the commercial range of Shell Advance 4T motorcycle oils

-- The implementation of a mix of highly effective 'optimised friction control' components in the latest blends of Shell Advance lubricant helps the Ducati race bike engines to produce significantly more horsepower

-- The latest version of Shell Advance racing oil has been optimised to work with Shell V-Power race fuel, with the aim of reducing fuel consumption and maximising the power output and efficiency of the bike

-- The 2011 Global Promotion - 'The Seven Riding Wonders of the World' - is asking motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world to vote for their favourite Riding Wonder, and launches in April

-- *The 2011 Global Promotion is open to participants from the following countries: Australia, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam

-- The unveiling will be hosted in Sepang, with the help of a panel consisting of experts from Shell, Ducati, SIC, DORNA and selected media

*The companies in which Royal Dutch Shell plc directly and indirectly owns investments are separate entities. In this document the expression "Shell" is sometimes used for convenience where references are made to Group companies in general. Likewise, the words "we", "us" and "our" are also used to refer to Group companies in general or those who work for them. These expressions are also used where there is no purpose in identifying specific companies.
