Great Lakes Launches its 2nd Batch of Post Graduate Working Professional Program in Management (PGWPM)


Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Monday, August 08, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, founded by Prof. Bala V. Balachandran is among the top B-schools in the country. Great Lakes Institute of Management's Post Graduate Working Professional Program in Management (PGWPM) today, launched its second batch. The Chief Guest for the launch was Shri H. Jayaram, Executive Director & CEO, GMMCO. The occasion was graced with other dignitaries from corporate houses and students.

The PGWPM program offers the same academic rigor that is currently being offered to the institute's core one-year, full-time, residential, PGPM students. The difference is in the time frame of delivery. To facilitate learning while still at work, the program is spread over 52 alternate week ends, thus making PGWPM an eight term, 2 year academic program.

The PGWPM program, which was launched last year with a batch size of 42 students saw the second batch swell up to 50, with corporate students from a slew of industries endorsing the program.

The launch of the second batch was hosted at the institute's picturesque campus in Manamai. Presiding over the function, Prof. Bala V Balachandran, Founder & Dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management said, "That the executive education platforms like PGWPM, where lower and middle level corporate managers gain an invaluable opportunity, for enhancing and rounding up their managerial skillsets."
