Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, July 06, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), the only bi-lateral Chamber of Commerce in India, formally honoured Hewlett Packard (HP) India Ltd., as the Overall Best US Company in India at the 7th Indo-American Corporate Excellence Awards (I-ACE) held at Hotel Trident, Nariman Point in Mumbai also commemorating the American Independence Day. The chief guest at the event was Mr. Shashi Ruia, Chairman, Essar Group. The event witnessed the creme da la crème of India and U.S' Corporate and entertainment world commemorating the American Independence Day.

The opening welcome remark was provided by Mr. Pradeep Udhas, Regional President, IACC, WIC followed by an addressing note by Mr. Shashi Ruia, Chairman, Essar Group.

Dr. L. S. Kanodia, Chairman, I-Ace Awards while introducing the awards said, "Both India and U.S play a significant role in today's global arena. In this regard, IACC has played a fundamental role to promote and strengthen Indo-US trade and business relationships for over 40 years. Through the I-ACE Awards, the Chamber celebrates corporate excellence and recognizes the Best U.S. Companies in India and Indian companies in US. These awards were presented in a number of categories and the winners chosen from a pool of varied nominations received from US and India.

To achieve the above objective, companies (U.S. and Indian) need to fasten trade ties between each other's countries. Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), the only bi-lateral Chamber of Commerce in India, committed to promoting trade and commerce between India and the United States, has facilitated many companies smoothen trade activities in each other's countries through ground- breaking initiatives.

The event had a high-profile guest list comprising of well-known personalities like Yash Chopra, Alyque Padamsee, Gulshan Grover, Shama Sikander, and various industrialists, business leaders, members from the U.S Consulate, and IACC members.
