Dr. Priya Ragubir delivers a Module on 'Customer Management' at Advanced Management Program at IILM Lodhi Road
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Dr. Priya Ragubir, Professor - Marketing, Stern School of Management, New York University delivered a three day session on 'Customer Management' at IILM's Advanced Management Program from 21st to 23rd July, 2011. The module focussed on 'What is Consumer Behavior?', 'Customer Relationship Management: The Value of a Customer', 'Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning' and 'Managing a Global Brand'. Dr. Ragubir also discussed about how understanding consumer behavior helps develop marketing strategies and develop and position products and services through some interesting case studies like 'Federal Express Money Back Guarantee' case, 'Heineken N.V.: Global Branding and Advertising', 'The Introduction of New Coke', to name a few.
IILM AMP comprises of 20 modules (of three days duration each) to be completed over a period of one year. The first module on 'Global Political Environment' was conducted by Dr Shashi Tharoor from 13th -15th Feb, 2011. The module focused on developing analytical tools for understanding the rapidly changing and dynamic global political economy. The participants developed an insight to anticipate the risks and take advantage of the opportunities they will encounter in the global business environment. Dr. Tharoor emphasized on the historical perspectives, the role and growth of UN, American Dominance and Decline, India and the World, Assessing Chinese Power, Regions of the World and Politics and Terrorism wherein he discussed the emergence of Africa, West Asia, South East Asia in post-colonial world.
The Module on Economics for Managers was conducted by Dr Catherine Thomas from Graduate School of Business, Columbia University in April 2011, while Prof. Scott Armstrong of Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania conducted a Module on 'Persuading Customers, Clients, Employees and others' in May 2011. Other modules are also being conducted by persons of eminence or professors from the world's top business schools.
