Top Eight Colleges from Mumbai Regional Competition, qualify for SIFE India National Competition 2011


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Students in Free Enterprise India (SIFE India), a part of SIFE International, a non-profit organisation operating in 39 countries globally, today announced the names of top eight qualifying colleges from SIFE India Mumbai Regional Competition, held at Hotel Intercontinental, The Lalit, Mumbai. The eight colleges, namely, Army Institute of Management - Kolkata, D.Y. Patil University - Dept. of Business Management- Mumbai, GITAM Institute of Management- Vishakhapattanam, H.R. College of Commerce and Economics- Mumbai, M.M.K. College of Commerce and Economics- Mumbai, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE)- Mumbai, Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management (SIOM)- Nashik and Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research- Mumbai, were selected by the eminent jury panel comprising of industry leaders from distinguished organizations including- WNS Global Services, KPMG, PWC and HSBC.

In the process, they learn to compete in a global environment, understand business ethics, develop leadership qualities and communication skills," said Keshav R. The top eight qualifying colleges of the SIFE India Mumbai Regional Competition will compete with other regional finalists, at the SIFE India National Competition to be held at Hotel Intercontinental, The Lalit, in Mumbai on July 1, 2011, where noted Banker and Chairman of HDFC Ltd, Deepak Parekh will be present at the event as the Chief Guest. The selected National Champion of SIFE India team will participate in the SIFE World Cup to be held in October, 2011, in Malaysia, where, 39 countries will compete at the SIFE World Cup for the SIFE global title.
