Top 8 Colleges from Southern Regional Competition, qualify for SIFE India National Competition 2011


Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Thursday, June 23, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Students in Free Enterprise India (SIFE India), a part of SIFE International, a non-profit organisation operating in 39 countries globally, today announced the names of top 8 qualifying colleges from Chennai & Bengaluru, at the SIFE India Southern Regional Competition, held at Hotel Savera, Chennai. The 8 colleges, namely, Velammal Institute of Technology - Chennai, Anna Adarsh College-Chennai, Seshadripuram First Grade College - Bengaluru, Loyola College - Chennai, Dr. MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science - Chennai, Sri Bhagawan Mahavir Jain College - Bengaluru, Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College For Women - Chennai and DRBCCC Hindu College of Arts and Science - Chennai, were selected by the eminent jury panel comprising of industry leaders from distinguished organizations including- WNS Global Services, KPMG, PWC and HSBC.

The top 8 qualifying colleges of the SIFE India Southern Regional Competition will compete with other regional finalists, at the SIFE India National Competition to be held at Hotel Intercontinental, The Lalit, in Mumbai on July 1, 2011, where noted Banker and Chairman of HDFC Ltd, Deepak Parekh will be present at the event as the Chief Guest. The selected National Champion of SIFE India team will participate in the SIFE World Cup to be held in October, 2011, in Malaysia, where, 39 countries will compete at the SIFE World Cup for the SIFE global title.
