This is testified by the increase in the number of Mumbaikars applying to the ISB. While the total number of Mumbai applicants has nearly doubled in the last five years to rise from 223 to 443, the total number of selected Mumbai students has risen by almost 50%.

Mumbaikar Varsha Bhawnani, ISB alumnus, has established herself as a young entrepreneur in the garment industry with her boutique chain Vinegar, a self-titled high-end clothes line and more recently as a wardrobe consultant. Similarly, Arun Shenoy, another ISB alumnus, is a co-promoter of Green India Building Systems and Services, offers maintenance and energy solutions to help buildings reduce costs and is part of the elite list of 100 LEED accredited green building professionals in India.

Second Campus at Mohali

Now in its tenth year, the ISB will have the Mohali campus operational from April 2012 and have its flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) delivered across the two locations. The two campuses will operate as a unified entity, with the same commitment to world-class programme design and delivery, and by effecting a seamless integration through inter-campus exchanges and virtual connectivity. Following ISB's unique portfolio faculty model, the resident and international faculty will impart cutting-edge management insights and practices at both locations. The Mohali campus will also house four institutes focusing on the areas of Public Policy, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Infrastructure Management.
