Unichem Annual Revenues Grow over 10%


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Sunday, May 15, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Board of Directors of Unichem Laboratories Ltd at their meeting held on May 14, 2011 approved the Annual Audited Results for FY 2010-11.

The Company recorded a consolidated total income of Rs. 824.04 Crores for the year ended 31st March 2011 as against Rs. 747.39 Crores in the corresponding previous year, registering an increase of 10.26%. On a standalone basis, the total income was Rs. 764.74 Crores as against Rs. 690.60 Crores in the corresponding previous year, registering an increase of 10.74%.

International Sales clocked a turnover of Rs. 165.66 Crores, registering an increase of 25.9% over the previous year on standalone basis.

The Company maintained the dividend at 200% for the FY 2010-11 i.e. Rs. 4/- per equity shares of Rs. 2/- each by recommending a final dividend of Rs. 2.80 per share (Previous year: Total dividend Rs. 10/- ( 200% ) per share on face value Rs. 5/- per share each). Earlier, the Company paid interim dividend of Rs. 1.2 per equity share of Rs. 2/- each.

The Board has decided to convene the 48th Annual General Meeting of the Company on 28th July, 2011 at Hall of Culture, Nehru Centre, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai - 400 018.
