Canon India Recognizes Sales Team of its Channel Partners at "Gurukul"
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Thursday, May 12, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Canon India Pvt. Limited, India's No 1. Complete Digital Imaging Solutions Company completes five successful years of Gurukul program across India. Conceptualized under the Business Imaging Solution division, now OIS, Gurukul was launched with an aim to enhance skill-set of the sales employees under the authorized partners to drive business growth in the long run. The theme for this year was "Fruits of Wisdom" that aimed at building the desire in human to grow beyond ordinance of expectations and possibilities. Apart from providing the sales team of channel partners with sales tools and product training, this thematic program was designed to enhance their soft - skills as well. This would further help sales people to leverage their relationships with customers. The program is part of Canon's national channel strategy to showcase commitment in building competencies with channel partners to enable them climb the value chain.
The first Gurukul for 2011 was held in Chennai for sales people of south partners. It was attended by more than 50 Sales People with their insatiable desire of learning and sharing emerging trends in the technology. Gurukul sessions included recap of the year, roadmap of 2011, training sessions, interactive modules and discussion on the trends and technology for the year on color printing market and solution selling concept. The biggest attraction was the live success case studies presented by team that enhanced the morale. This interactive technology session ended with the fun activity and a quiz on product knowledge.
Aimed at providing improved customer service support and above par excellence among channel partners; the program was highly appreciated by the attendees. Canon's Gurukul is an aggressive training program for its channels. The first phase will be covering south and north and during the second phase, east and west. This will certainly cover Tier-II and Tier- III cities.
