2nd Annual USA India Business Summit - Call for Awards nominations


Atlanta, United States, Thursday, May 12, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and the Honorable V.S. Senthil, Minister (Economic) will be among the many dignitaries attending the second USA India Business Summit (UIBS), which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on June 21st and 22nd, 2011 at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Conference Center. Theme of UIBS is "Growing Business and Promoting Entrepreneurship".

UIBS 2011 is being organized by USA India Initiatives, Inc. (USIII), the Georgia Tech Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER) and US India Business and Research Center (USIBRC), the Georgia Department of Economic Development, with support of the U.S. Commercial Service, Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC), Lufthansa German Airlines, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Am Cham India, MM Activ and a host of sponsoring organizations.

Call for Awards nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for the USA India Business Summit (UIBS) 2011 Awards of Distinction. Nominations are open to all profit or non-profit businesses, individuals, private or government organization from USA and India who have shown outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and commitment to promote USA India Business and Trade. The call for nominations closes on 5 p.m. (EST USA Time)Tuesday, May 31, 2011.

Nominations are invited from individuals or organization covering UIBS 2011 Strategic tracks/industries of interest in the following categories:

1. Exports to USA or India
2. Increased cross-border business in the following industries - Science & Technology, Energy, Supply Chain & Logistics, Infrastructure, Venture Capital & Investment.
3. Young Entrepreneur
4. Outstanding Business Leader
5. Community Builder

Nominees will be contacted and asked for additional information to demonstrate their eligibility for the award and interest to be nominated. UIBS Awards Banquet will be held from 6:30 pm on June 21, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in presence of international and national media and hundreds of distinguished attendees.

Nominees can be nominated only in one category and individuals or businesses are welcome to nominate themselves. Nomination forms are available by sending a request to Ani@usaindiabusinesssummit.com. The UIBS organizing committee reserves rights to exclude any award category or reject any nomination at its own discretion.
