Some Quotes From the volume:-

I can assure that the spirituality of every religion says injuring an innocent person or killing is against God and God's mission of human life ----- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Judiciary has a vital role to play in ensuring that terrorism related cases are tried expeditiously and culprits are convicted without delay. If we fail to deliver justice within a reasonable period, citizens loose their faith in the justice delivery system ----- K. Sankaranarayanan

As a leader among all states in India, and Mumbai, being the jewel of the crown, we always have been high on the terrorist target. One should always keep in mind that the terrorist has to be successful only once while we have to be successful everyday. Thus, let not one terrorist success wipe out hundreds of our successful efforts in keeping them at bay. Let not a single blow demoralize us ----- R.R. Patil

This book is a collection of the lectures delivered by the eminent personalities during the seminars. It makes a fascinating reading and provides a comprehensive view on the subject. We are beholden to our Director General Of Police, Mr D. Sivanandhan, under whose dynamic leadership the seminars were organised and who has been the guiding spirit behind this compilation ----- Sanjeev Dayal

When I took over as Police Commissioner of Mumbai in May 2009, I made it clear that my first priority was to tackle terrorism. My immediate task then was to free the city from its fear psychosis ----- D. Sivanandhan

I can tell you that in Punjab terrorism was finally laid to rest because the community from which the terrorists were recruited went against the terrorists ----- J.F. Ribeiro

As the Managing Editor of "The Protector" it has been my privilege to publish this impactful volume
----- Satya Swaroop

One of the most pernicious aspects of terrorism today is the advent of the suicide bomber and the huge increase in suicide missions. Consequently, the ubiquitous terrorist weapons of today are the human bomb and vehicles driven by suicide bombers ----- M.K. Narayanan

The continued policy of bleeding India is nothing but a proxy war from across the border. But the trend is alarming in terms of the selection of targets which are soft and high profile and high value. The victims are no more only the helpless innocent people on the streets. The gaze has turned to foreign nationals, elite citizens, iconic places, etc ----- Anami Narayan Roy

There is a genuine fear that a section of militants may acquire access to weapons of mass destruction. Make no mistake that 9/11 did not turn into a nuclear attack because of lack of intent. There is no mistaking the truth that it did not turn into a nuclear bombing because of lack of capability and access ----- Shyamal Dutta

I have spent a large part of my life as an analyst outside the system, so I may not be aware of the thinking at the highest level. As an observer and as a pathologist it makes sense when I say that India is reactive and episodic in its response. We have not been able to acquire that directivity in the policies ----- Commodore Uday Bhaskar

Before we start stereotyping Pakistan, we must know that it is their system that is to be blamed and not the individual Pakistani; they are ruled by the military. For instance, even in the days of so-called democracy when I was in Pakistan, I remember, the speaker of government cowering before a retired Major General ----- Gopal Parthasarathy
