Jabra Launches Two New Hands-Free Solutions in India
Jabra CRUISER2 - Curbs Bad Driving Habits With Launch of Newest In-Car Speakerphone; Jabra WAVE - Features Improved Technology and an Enhanced Behind-the-Ear Fit
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Tuesday, January 11, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Jabra, a world leader in developing innovative hands-free solutions that deliver great audio and are both easy-to-use and intuitive, today announced two new offerings Cruiser 2 and WAVE, thus extending the company's leadership position in the Indian hands free market.
Speaking on the announcement Mr. Jonathan Tang, APAC Managing Director of Jabra Mobile Business said: "We now offer a full portfolio of hands-free products and look forward to continuing to help grow the market as consumers become more informed about the benefits of hands-free solutions. The Jabra CRUISER2, the next generation of the critically acclaimed CRUISER in-car speakerphone, builds on Jabra's extensive experience developing easy-to-use products that enhance users' everyday lifestyle and the Jabra WAVE will offer even greater comfort as these behind-the-ear legacy products, with a thinner, sleeker design."
Jabra CRUISER2 is looking to provide a "no excuses" approach to hands-free driving in an effort to change consumer behavior.
With ease-of-use in mind, Jabra CRUISER2 has several new features that set it apart from other in-car speakerphones including Caller ID - the speakerphone will tell you who is calling, exactly how you have the caller programmed into your mobile phone (for example, "Mom calling" or "Martin Work calling") - and Voice Guidance to both guide users through the set-up process and to clearly tell you connectivity status and low battery levels.
In addition, the FM Transmitter gives the ability to transmit and play MP3s from a mobile device to the car's stereo system via the in-car speakerphone. With Noise BlackoutT technology that reduces ambient sound without comprising voice quality, the Jabra CRUISER2 features strategically placed microphones that are able to distinguish between background noise and the caller's voice, ensuring optimized audio without distracting noise from other passengers or outside traffic.
The 2nd new product launched by Jabra is the Jabra WAVE, a Bluetooth headset featuring an enhanced behind-the-ear wearing style. Back by popular demand, the Jabra Wave's behind-the-ear fit emulates the design of such blockbuster hits as the Jabra EarWave boom and BT250. This signature Jabra style has sold more than 10 million units worldwide to-date and is voted the most comfortable and stable style by end users.
Jabra Wave is significantly slimmer and easier-to-use than its predecessors, the Jabra WAVE's ergonomic fit is ideal for all-day use and its voice guidance system, StatusDisplayTM, and easy-to-locate answer/end button on the microphone boom help create a simple, intuitive user experience. The flexible shape of the headset molds to a user's ear and distributes the headset's weight evenly, providing a secure and discreet fit. New battery technology also allows for a slimmer design and ultra-soft materials ensure a comfortable, light-weight feel, allowing users to communicate freely and naturally.
It also features a new microphone concept with significantly better immunity to wind noise. The headset's boom tip features a microphone that is designed with rounded holes for smooth wind passage and less turbulence and the microphone is also wrapped in foam material developed to further reduce wind noise. This design, combined with Digital Signal Processing (DSP), allows for crystal clear audio - even while walking or when the outdoor elements aren't ideal. Automatic volume adjustment and acoustic shock protection prevent unexpected high pitched tones and other noises that may occur in telephone networks while ensuring that every conversation is at a comfortable, safe volume level.
Both Jabra WAVE and Cruiser2 can be connected to up to two devices at the same time via MultiuseT technology, allowing users to transition seamlessly between multiple phones, or even internet calls if connected to a Bluetooth enabled PC. Voice guidance takes the guesswork out of operating a headset or in-car speakerphone by notifying users of the crucial status updates, such as connectivity and low battery.
Jabra Cruiser2 is available in the India market at the price of Rs. 5999 and Jabra Wave is available in the Indian market at the price of Rs. 3899
