Crossword Bookstore, Mumbai and Leadstart Publishing Host the Launch of 'A Soulful of Lie', a Debut Novel by Supriya Parulekar


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Friday, December 03, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Crossword Bookstore, Mumbai and Leadstart Publishing on 30th November 2010, launched the book 'A Soulful of Lie' ' by Supriya Parulekar. The book was released by India's well known celebrity photographer, Gautam Rajadhyaksha, while Smt. Sharmila Raj Thackeray, social activist and the wife of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray was the guest of honour for the evening. Gautam applauded the work done by Leadstart Publishing in promoting Indian writing talent and congratulated the author on her debut novel. He complimented the author on her contemporary style of writing and also her narrative style which managed such a complicated plot with ease. When asked about the origin of such a complex plot for the book, Supriya shared with the audience her near death experience as a child and visions from her past which helped her develop the plot for the book. Smt. Sharmila Thackeray, suggested the book be translated in Marathi for it to reach the Marathi Audiences. Supriya, replied to her saying a prominent Marathi Book publisher has already asked her for the rights.

Also present at the launch, were several dignitaries including, Raju Parulekar , senior journalist, writer and TV host, Smt. Swati Sardesai ,wife of MLA Nitin Sardesai, Shankar Nikalje, General Manager, E-Sense Entertainment and television and theatre artist Neha Gokhale. The publishers were represented by Swarup Nanda, Chairman and CEO of Leadstart Publishing along with Sunil Poolani , Executive Director of the company.
