CISCO Appoints New Head for Data Center Business in India & SAARC Region to Reinforce Cisco's Thrust in the Data Center Space


New Delhi, Delhi, India, Wednesday, December 01, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Cisco India today announced the appointment of Rajesh Rege as Sr. Vice President - Data Center, for India & SAARC. In this role Rajesh will be responsible for driving and overseeing Cisco's overall growth and expansion efforts in the datacenter space in this region. Rajesh is an IT industry veteran with over 22 years of experience.

Prior to Cisco, Rajesh worked with Alcatel Lucent as Vice President-Global Alliances, managing a portfolio of India based partners on a global basis. Before Alcatel he spent 11 years with Sun Microsystems in various leadership roles including Director & Country Head, Partner Sales Organization and Director & Country Head, Enterprise Accounts, Mid-market and SMB. Prior to Sun Microsystems, Rajesh was also associated with companies like Indigo Technologies as Country Manager, Reuters as India Sales Head and with Wipro in a number of frontline sales roles.
