The Central Association of Private Security Industry in India (CAPSI), the apex association representing the needs and interests of the 7.5 million strong Private Security Industry and the Association of Private Detectives of India (APDI), the apex association of all Private Intelligence Companies and professionals in India today announced the dates and agenda for the Global Security Leadership Summit 2010 to be held on 03 and 04 December at Hotel Sheraton New Delhi, Saket.

Towards this end, the summit will provide a platform to discuss and deliberate on best business norms, practices, standards and compliance in line with global standards of private security and intelligence industry. This year's summit, the 5th in succession, will deliberate on diverse subjects ranging from effective roll out of the PSARA Act 2005, Critical Infrastructure Security and Safe City Concept, Standards, Compliance and Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Private Security Industry, Corporate Security, Skill Enhancement Initiatives, National Security and Nuclear Security.

It may be noted that CAPSI has been playing a crucial role with licensing authorities across the country for an effective and successful implementation of Private Security Agency Regulation (PSARA) Act 2005.The apex association has identified Employability, Skill Development and Training as the key pillars on which a successful PSARA implementation will depend. CAPSI is also working closely with the National Skills Development Corporation towards developing security skills development centric ecosystem with a long term industry vision.

The association is helping the United Nations through UNODC in setting global Private Security Sector standards and is now working closely with UNODC as part of the standing committee.

Other significant subjects for discussion and deliberation at the 2010 summit include challenges and opportunities posed by PSARA for the end users, service providers and security guards as the latest compliance requirement. This will include special sessions on training and skill development opportunities that have emerged as a result of PSARA implementation.

Industry leaders & specialists from the European Union, UNDOC and other regulators will be addressing key emerging trends and opportunities including global security industry standards and trends.
