Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications, and digital home applications, today announced it will demonstrate its state-of-the-art 2D and 3D WiVuTM wireless display solutions at the CEATEC 2010 Conference. Based on its new PureVu-3DTM CNW53XX video processors, Cavium will be demonstrating its cost optimized 3D reference platform designed to accelerate time-to-market for Consumer Electronic (CE) OEMs interested in adding wireless display capability to their 3D product line-up. Demonstrations will be shown in booth 8L66 at the CEATEC Conference being held in Makuhari Messe, Tokyo from October 6th - 8th 2010.
Cavium's CEATEC demonstrations will include 3D gaming content being streamed from a game console to a 3D flat panel TV over standard Wi-Fi using Cavium's WiVuTM wireless display solution. Leveraging Cavium's unique SLLTM (Super Low Latency) technology, the PureVu-3DTM CNW53XX video processor highlights the suitability of Cavium's WiVuTM wireless display solution for integration into mainstream 3D displays and CE devices, including those addressing highly interactive applications such as gaming. In addition, there will be a demonstration of Blu-ray content wirelessly transmitted to a 2D flat panel TV equipped with the CNW5602 video processor using Cavium's WiVuTM technology.
Cavium's PureVuTM video processors offer industry leading H.264 encode/decode, SLLT technology, HDCP 2.0 content protection, and intelligent video quality-of-service and networking capabilities to bring multi-room 2D and 3D wireless display functionality over standard 802.11 Wi-Fi to a variety of consumer electronic devices, such as flat panel TVs, Blu-ray players, PCs, and gaming consoles. The new CNW53XX processors, along with the associated cost optimized reference platforms are capable of handing 1080p 3D video processing, compatible with video input formats outlined in the 3D Blu-ray specification and supported by HDMI 1.4 standard.
