Senior Management Moves at Castrol India
Naveen Kshatriya is Non-Executive Vice Chairman of Castrol India, Ravi Kirpalani Takes Over as Automotive Director and COO

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, June 24, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- Following the appointment of Naveen Kshatriya as Regional Vice President, Asia & Pacific, BP Castrol Lubricants, he has stepped down as MD & CEO of Castrol India Limited. He will however, continue on the Board of Directors of the company as Non Executive Vice Chairman. He also continues to be on the Global leadership team for BP lubricants.

In his capacity as Regional Vice President, Naveen Kshatriya will be in charge of over 30 countries in Asia & Pacific Region, spanning from Egypt to New Zealand. As one of the three regions in BP's Global Auto lubes portfolio, Asia & Pacific is a material business and offers significant growth opportunity with its rich portfolio of developing and developed markets including two BRIC countries - India & China, several fast emerging markets and long established operations in Australia, Japan, Malaysia & Thailand. India, the second largest contributor globally, continues to be the lead market in this region.

Following the above change, Ravi Kirpalani has taken charge as Chief Operating Officer & Automotive Director of Castrol India Limited. He has also been appointed as Whole time Director on the Board of Castrol India Limited.

Ravi Kirpalani returns to Castrol India after four years with Castrol International in UK, where he was Strategy Implementation Director for BP's global Lubricants Business. Prior to this overseas posting, Ravi Kirpalani was with Castrol India since 1999, holding a number of roles in sales and customer management.
