LG takes 15 Little Champs to Bangladesh to Lead Cricket Teams in ICC World Cup

LG Electronics, Leader in consumer durables industry and the official sponsor for ICC World Cup today announced the winners of the Lead 11 campaign from Kolkata who would lead the Cricket players on to the ground for their first schedule match against Bangladesh on 19th Feb'11 in Dhaka. The 15 frontrunners in the age group of 8-12 years will escort the cricket teams to the stadium in Dhaka, singing the National Anthem in chorus with the Cricket stars.
The Lead 11 campaign with an investment of more than Rs.10 crores conducted is all set to woo its Indian consumers and boost the national cricket spirit by acknowledging the young talent and presenting "India's future Star" on a Global Platform.
LG Lead 11 is an unparalleled initiative embarked by the ICC and driven by LG Electronics - as its global partner. The "Lead 11" contest started on January 15, 2011 and will go on till March 15, 2011. 885 kids, between the age group of 8-12 years, will be selected through a lucky draw and will get a chance to lead the cricketers to the ground and also sing National Anthem with them in every match.
An innovative School contact program being organized in 200 schools across 8 cities (Mumbai, Delhi & NCR, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Nagpur & Chandigarh) is about engaging kids in cricket related games & giving them a boost to participate in the Lead 11 campaign and achieve his or her dream of walking with the cricket super stars.
The announcement which was made at a press conference and attended by Mandira Bedi, famous T.V. personality along with the senior management of LG Electronics was filled with the excited winners accompanied by their equally delighted guardians.
