Mindteck (India) Limited (BSE: MINDTECK), a global technology company, was among the select group of companies invited to make presentation on Smart City Solutions at the Industry Consultation Workshop held in Pune on 5th November. Objective of this workshop was to seek feedback on Pune Municipal Corporation’s overall IT strategy and to identify solutions or technology which could play a critical role in providing smarter solution to citizens in the future. Attendees included municipal commissioner, representatives from NASSCOM, management consultants and senior government officials.
Technology leader Dr. Pradeep V Desai presented an overview of Mindteck’s smart city solutions featuring Smart Street Lighting and Smart Parking. Our Intelligent Lighting Solution implemented for an UK-based utility company has announced record reductions in energy consumption and CO2 emissions. Prior to installation of energy efficient lanterns, the street lighting was consuming around 50m kWh of energy a year. This will be successfully reduced to 34m kWh this year. We are also implementing statewide ERP-based E-Nagarpalika, a citizen-friendly local body that serves as a one-stop-shop for all e-governance solutions. “Our smart city solutions are designed keeping in mind the growing importance of information and communication technologies (ICTs). Companies have benefitted from our suite of smart city solutions developed to support OEMs, home and building automation, energy consumers and system integrators,” commented Yusuf Lanewala, Mindteck Chairman and Managing Director.
