CarWale Announces Re-Design of Website

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

India’s leading automotive portal, CarWale has revealed an all-new design to further enhance the user experience while researching cars. The new experience has been rolled out concurrently on all consumer platforms – the website, mobile site and the mobile app.

The new design takes a modern, minimal and clutter-free approach that allows users to immediately jump to the car of their choice in one step. Laid out in parallel segments, the new design has one self-contained module dedicated to each stage of the car buying process, to cater to buyers at every stage of the buying cycle.
CarWale’s new avatar is a result of months of consumer research and usability testing, combined with specific feedback from regular users of the site.

“We learnt a lot from our usability tests,” said Banwari Lal Sharma, Vice President, Product. “For example, browsing habits have evolved and most users now prefer the search bar to conventional navigation. This prompted us to do away with the navigation bar completely and resulted in a much cleaner interface.”

Speaking about the re-design, Mohit Dubey, CEO and Co-Founder said, “With more and more people connecting with us through smartphones and touch-screen devices, this redesign was a must to offer a consistent and seamless experience across devices. Initial feedback from our users has been very positive, and we are confident that the new enhanced user experience will make it even simpler for buyers to research and buy their car through CarWale.”

The re-design comes just in time as the company prepares to bring in its tenth anniversary this September.
