
WWE Superstar Bad News Barrett was the referee for a special football match held between the Special Olympics Bharat’s Mumbai and Goa team on Thursday, 18 September 2014 in Mumbai. A football player himself, Barrett played the role of a referee to perfection. He also lauded the players for a brilliant performance. The players are part of the Special Olympics Bharat, an NGO that organizes Olympic-type sports for persons with intellectual disabilities. The athletes are constantly developed through regular trainings and additional initiatives that help strengthen the athletes- mentally, physically emotionally. The match ended with a win in favour of the Goa team. Superstar Bad News Barrett was in the city for a three day tour.
