Anwar Shirpurwala Appointed Executive Director of MAIT


New Delhi, Delhi, India, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- MAIT, the apex body representing the interest of IT hardware industry in India, has announced the appointment of Mr. Anwar Shirpurwala as its new Executive Director with effect from 16th October 2012. The announcement was made by Dr Alok Bharadwaj, President, MAIT.

Anwar has taken over from Mr. Sabyasachi Patra, who has resigned from MAIT to pursue his passion of wildlife filming and Conservation issues full time. He has founded IndiaWilds (www.indiawilds.com) - a Conservation and online photography forum for strengthening the conservation movement in the country. His film "A Call in the Rainforest" has been nominated for Special Awards in Wildlife Vaasa Festival, Finland and has been awarded the Vasundhara Award by Maharashtra Government.

Anwar comes with a diverse experience of 15 years in IT Training, Sales & Marketing, Retail and Govt. Affairs.
