CA Technologies to Deliver ERwin Data Modeling Solution for Microsoft SQL Azure
New Solution to Enable Customers to Better Manage Structural Complexities of Cloud Databases
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- CA Technologies (NASDAQ: CA) today announced CA ERwin® Data Modeler for Microsoft SQL Azure, a powerful new solution that helps customers manage and integrate their database infrastructure with the Microsoft SQL Azure cloud database environment.
Many customers have concerns about moving their data to the cloud, fearing the potential complexity, and risk of designing and deploying systems in an off-premise environment. CA ERwin Data Modeler for Microsoft SQL Azure enables customers to make fact-based decisions about which data to move to the cloud and which to keep on premise, by empowering them to easily:
-- Create an inventory of data assets, including both cloud and on-premise databases, using a single visual interface;
-- Migrate from on-premise databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, to cloud-based databases, such as Microsoft SQL Azure; and
-- Maintain their cloud-based databases using a familiar desktop data modeling paradigm, eliminating the need for specialized skills or training.
