Max New York Life Announces Second Edition of its popular Igenius Scholarships
More than 1000 scholarships worth Rs.1 crore.To extend the multi-faceted iGenius Scholarships to underprivileged children
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Max New York Life Insurance, one of India's leading life insurance companies, announced igenius 2011, a unique parent-child engagement initiative to support all-round child development. In the inaugural year, the flagship program igenius scholarship attracted more than 10 lakh participants across 1,000 cities. igenius scholarship 2011, is aimed to become even bigger and is expected to generate greater participation. This year more than 1000 scholarships worth Rs.1 crore will be distributed. The igenius program will also be extended to underprivileged children.

The igenius scholarship program involves a robust multiple-level evaluation process that has been conceptualized in association with Derek O'Brien. Children from the 3rd to the 8th standards can participate in this program and win more than 1000 prizes worth Rs 1 crore. The scholarship has been divided into two categories - Junior (3rd to 5th standards) and Senior (6th to 8th standards). Winners in the junior and senior categories will receive scholarships of Rs 10 lakh each.
Max New York Life will also support deserving children from underprivileged section of the society to drive social inclusion. "The core philosophy of life insurance is protection for the uncertain and unseen future. The future of children gets most impacted in case of any eventuality. This year igenius makes a small beginning towards social inclusion by supporting some of such less fortunate children who do not have family support to promote their all round development," added Anisha Motwani.
A stakeholder engagement program will be initiated to drive active volunteering from employees, agent advisors, and customers of Max New York Life.
