WNS Wins "Global CSR Award" 2012 at World CSR Day


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Tuesday, March 13, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- WNS (Holdings) Limited (NYSE: WNS), a leading provider of global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services, won the "Global CSR Award" for demonstrating excellence in the 'Corporate Social Responsibility Practice Overall' category, at World CSR day. The award was presented by the Honorable Union Minister of Corporate Affairs, Dr. M. Veerappa Moily in a ceremony held at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India in the presence of a distinguished gathering of more than 200 industry leaders.

The Global CSR Award recognizes organizations that have made a significant and positive impact on the lives of people around them. The Award assesses the extent of integration of CSR concerns with corporate functioning, corporate responses to the needs of different stakeholders and development of innovative models to fulfill social responsibilities. The CSR Awards are conferred upon organizations for their outstanding contribution towards under privileged communities and the environment.

The Global CSR Award this year, honored the 'Community Development and Outreach Program' of WNS, under the auspices of the WNS Cares Foundation (WCF), a registered non-profit organization, for its endeavors towards creating a better and sustainable future for underprivileged children and youth at WNS's locations, across the globe.
